Women in Screen Printing Awards
One of our goals when creating MADE Lab was to create a place and a platform that brought the elements and people of the decorated apparel industry together. Hosting and producing events is not only a way to fulfill that mission, but something we have a ton of fun doing. When we got a chance to host the Women of Screen Printing Awards with Screen Printing Magazine at our Launch Event earlier this year, we jumped at the opportunity.
Though this was the second year of having these awards this was the first time they were to be presented live so we really wanted to ensure they got the visibility they deserve. Women leaders in screen printing and apparel have been largely overlooked, though in reality women play a huge role in the overall industry. The goal of supporting events and movements like this is to bring visibility to those who are taking the reins of print and business and leading as well as hopefully inspire the next leader to rise up to their own potential. I know watching the event I was inspired by the energy and humility these women exhibited and hope that you are too.
Prior to the event, the MADE Lab production team got a chance to work with and film one of the award winners Jessica Tillery of All Quality Graphics and the Love is Unlimited Movement as she set up and tested this year’s Women of Screen Printing Awards Official T-Shirt. I think you’ll enjoy her perspective and vision for how she uses her business and a t-shirt to make the world a better place.
We’re excited to stoke your knowledge and inspiration buckets with over 40 new events and classes we are working on next year. Be sure you’re following MADE Lab on your favorite social media channels and subscribed to our email list below to stay tuned.
